About our Studio

A little about our studio.  We  love what we do and  take pride in bringing your ideas to life.  As we term it sometimes "Unleash Your Inner Canvas".  At our studio, we invite you to explore the boundless possibilities of self-expression through our favorite artistry, tattooing.

We are all inclusive, lgbtq woman-owned studio with an all female staff.   The only tattoo shop located at the  Dunedin Causeway in sunny Dunedin, Florida.

Home to our award winners, Lita Edwards, Ciara Meyer, and Dawn Benduhn.  The 3 began Metamorphosis Ink in 2019, Dawn and Lita being Co-owner's and Ciara being Lita's apprentice.  After 6 years, Ciara took her first apprentice, Brielle, and is considered the grandbaby.   Lita now has a new apprentice, Morgan and thus a second daughter.

 

Before the causeway we were located at small space on Main Street that we eventually outgrew.  and after years of hard work, made the move to a place that feels like we are driving to the beach everyday, with Honeymoon Island beaches, Pinellas Trailway, variety of places to eat, and hotels to stay in, all right here in walking distance!!  Definitely a step up.

Named Metamorphosis : the process of transformation in two distinct stages.  

​

Boobs and Tattoos was almost the company name, but was trademarked instead in the early years of Metamorphosis.  With an edge it catches attention and opens the door to a much different conversation than one would think.  And with the growing clientele in the breast cancer community, it is easy to remember.  

​

Lita following her path in this industry, chose to seek out clients that her art could be life changing and since then it has grown into a studio that focuses on that transformation, replacing scars and trauma with beautiful art, allowing the canvas to regain confidence and self-esteem.  To see beauty where trauma once was.  To let go of the old and embrace the new.  Thats Metamorphosis.  Thats Boobs and Tattoos.  And that is the energy you feel from the moment you walk in.

We are not limited to only scars.  We tattoo everything (almost lol...). Our vibe is something most want to support, and you have a great tattoo experience filled with good energy.

Our recent happening was filming this year, and the beginning of our non-profit orginization, Inked Transformations Foundation.  More on that to come..
